Privacy Policy
MuscleDaddies is a game-style fitness app made by Small Ponds Software ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the control you have over it. We keep this simple: we only collect what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in (with Apple, Google, or email), we receive a unique account ID and the email address tied to that sign-in. You also choose a display name. If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email," we only ever see the private relay address.
Fitness & workout data
The workouts you log — type, duration, intensity, distance, calories, heart rate, strength details, and any notes you add. This is the core of the app.
Apple Health data (iPhone only)
If you connect Apple Health, the app reads workout and recovery metrics (workouts, active energy, heart rate, sleep, heart-rate variability, mindful minutes, resting heart rate) to calculate your in-app stats and recovery. It can also write workouts you track in the app back to Apple Health. This is optional, you control it in your device settings, and the data is used only for in-app features.
Game & social data
Your progress (XP, levels, stats, characters, achievements, streaks) and, if you join a squad, your squad membership, challenge participation, and feed activity. Your display name, level, and progress are visible to other members of squads you join.
Technical data
A push-notification token (so we can send the notifications you enable) and basic information needed to keep the app running reliably.
Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active, but we never see or store your payment-card details — those stay with Apple and Google.
How we use your information
- To run the app's core features — logging workouts, calculating XP, stats, levels, and recovery
- To power squads, challenges, leaderboards, and the activity feed
- To send the push notifications you've turned on
- To unlock and maintain Premium features for subscribers
- To keep accounts secure and the service working correctly
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for ad targeting.
How your data is stored & shared
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore database, authentication, and cloud messaging), which provides our secure backend infrastructure.
We share data only with the service providers that make the app function:
- Google Firebase — data storage, sign-in, and notifications
- Apple & Google — for sign-in and for processing subscriptions
We may disclose information if required by law. Otherwise, your data stays within the app.
Your choices & rights
You can edit your profile and disconnect Apple Health at any time in the app. You can delete your account and all associated data whenever you want.
To delete your account: open the app → Settings → Delete Account, or see our account deletion page. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll handle it for you.
Children's privacy
MuscleDaddies is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
