Small Ponds Software
Deleting your data
Your family's information is yours. Here is how to get rid of some of it, or all of it.
Deleting parts of it yourself
Most of what you might want gone, you can remove yourself from inside the app — no need to ask us:
- A child — Settings → Kids → tap the child → Remove. (Their past history stays in
the activity list; the app will not let you remove your last remaining child.)
- A chore or a reward — Settings → Edit chores, or Edit rewards → swipe to delete.
- A photo — open the child or the reward and clear the picture; the emoji comes back.
- A gem entry that should not have happened — swipe left on it in the Activity list
and undo it.
Deleting everything, permanently
Chorelie has no account to close, so there is no "delete account" button — instead we delete your
family's record from the database for you. To ask for that:
- Email betas@smallpondssoftware.com
with the subject Chorelie data deletion request.
- Tell us the family name you set up with, and roughly when you started using the app.
- So we know the request really comes from your household, we will ask you to open Chorelie, go to
Settings → Add a device, and send us the six-letter code it shows. That proves you
have a device in the family without telling us anything about you.
Once confirmed we delete the family record and everything inside it — children, chores, rewards, photos,
balances and the whole activity history. It is finished within 30 days and it cannot be undone.
Request deletion
One thing worth knowing
Deleting the app from your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV does not delete your family's
record. That is deliberate — it means a dropped phone or a new iPad does not wipe years of your children's
history. If you are finished with Chorelie for good, send us the request above so it is actually gone.
